Sooo...

This is my first full year teaching 1st grade and my principal thinks it would be a good idea for me to keep a journal of my journey...so here goes. Today I started using a new behavior card with my students. The kids seem to be very excited about it. The card has 10 stars printed on it. Each day the kids stay on blue, they get a punch. I also give out random punched when I see them exhibiting star behavior.(our mascot is the star) The kids seemed excited about it. I even over heard a few students dicussing how they were going to earn extra punches. Once the kiddos reach 10 punches they can exchange it for 15 minutes on the computer, a prize from the prize box, or they can choose to eat in the classroom on Fridays. I hope the kids continue to be excited about this incentive.
